Teeth whitening

Teeth-whitening is a process in which tooth structures are chemically lightened. There are many different causes of tooth discoloration over time: food, beverages (coffee, tea, red wine, etc.), medicine and smoking.

Whitening is carried out by patients at home using a cap (i.e. a whitening spoon) made for each mouth individually. The whitening frequency can range from a few hours to several days or longer, depending on how the teeth respond to the procedure.

At Rotermann Clinic we recommend using the Cavex ABC Masterkit, specially designed for whitening:

in the first step, the patient uses a special pre-treatment/paste to clean their teeth and create a suitable environment for the whitening gel;
in the second step, a special whitening gel is applied to the whitening cap, which must be kept in the mouth for 30 to 60 minutes, after which the teeth, along with the cap, must be thoroughly cleaned of gel residues;
the third step, a special soothing gel is applied inside the whitening tray, which helps prevent hypersensitivity (closing the dentinal tubules and enamel microcracks).
